A taste of summer in this dirt hole called Canadian winter

This is a blog I meant to write oh about 6 months ago...and now that Joelle and I are becoming uber organized in 2008 I actually found the images from this idea I had way back when. It seemed fitting as the snow is rapidly melting this week at a freakish rate and it is leaving behind a wake of filth and muck that is just horribly depressing to look at. These shots were taken back in the spring - my first spring in A-town and I was so inspired by the way the towns-folk manicured their yards and gardens. I took my camera gat-abouting one fine morning through my neighborhood and came home with lots of inspiration of how to build my garden. Unfortunately I realized I have not one green thumb in my body...but I can truly appreciate them nonetheless. So for all you depressed and soggy canadians out there...remember how life used to be and will be again in 4 long hard and cold months...viva spring!
